Detroit - The Anarchists Dream Town

The libertarians have been trying to move to New Hampshire so that they can get a large enough population to get people into office, while as a anarchists we are not looking to put anyone in power Detroit is the perfect place to turn into our New Hampshire. There are entire neighborhoods that are completely empty. The houses on these streets can be bought for as little as 300 dollars, with a mortgage on a house like that it cost around 15 bucks a month. A lot of the houses are surrounded by burned out shells of houses, these lots could be cleared, and the materials salvaged for use on repairs and more building. The lots can be used for light farming or heavy gardening; whichever term you prefer.
If people decided to squat the police in Detroit would not present much of a problem because they have a lot of crime to deal with, the least of their concerns would be a bunch of people moving into abandoned buildings on the same street and improving the neighborhood. There are a few squats that have turned legitimate, one that comes to mind is trumbulplex in Woodbridge, they have 2 adjacent lots, a greenhouse, fairly large garden and showspace. The only issue with squatting in Michigan is that you have to show open uninterrupted possession of the property for 15 years. However if enough people move into the city as squatters and partake in elections it would be entirely possible to get Detroit to lower the amount of time that it takes to get possession.

Bread And Roses - Deep River Day

From Interpunk:
After countless demos, random recordings, and a split 7" with Mischief Brew, Boston-based rebel-folk orchestra Bread & Roses have finally graced us with a full-length CD! Traditional olde tyme instrumentation (mandolin, upright bass, banjo, dobro, fiddle, stomping...) with a strong punk spirit, recorded DIY-style in an old church, amazing artwork on a digipak, and tributes to Utah Phillips and Merle Haggard. Get drunk and stomp along...

Dandelion Junk Queens - No Amps No Masters

Dandelion Junk Queens is not a Jug Band, nor are we Pirates, nor Gypsies/Roma. Dandelion Junk Queens is a Junk Band. Sometimes Dandelion Junk Queens are from Bellingham, WA, and sometimes the road is our home. Dandelion Junk Queens would probably like to play in your basement, and would even more likely like to drink and dance with you.

Guignol & Mischief Brew - Fight Dirty

Description From Interpunk:
"Fight Dirty" is seven Mischief Brew songs with Guignol as backing band; six Guignol songs with Erik on guitar; a Django Reinhardt cover, and a barn-burning take on Iron Maiden's "Hallowed Be They Name" (with Slavic Soul Party's Ben Holmes on trumpet). This is not a split. It's Guignol & Mischief Brew playing together as a five-piece band. It's apotheosis anthems for the carnies, the travelers, the gypsies, jazzmen, and lowlifes; singing Turkish-flavored reveries, odes to tax evasion, dirty tricks, and mob revolution; cumbia carols, sludge-metal reels, and a funeral march at a flooded bar.
